Digital licenses

All students of Maastricht University have access to software that can also be useful for your initiative. Browse the offer to see if you can download any helpful software: https://www.maastrichtuniversity.nl/support/ict-services/software-personal-use Other interesting tools, such as a software allowing you to run your own electronic journal, are available through the library: https://library.maastrichtuniversity.nl/services/software-apps-tools/

Additionally, employees of UM have access to a further list of licenses. This list changes often, but if you would like access to something and cannot find it via the library or in your student package, it might be possible to grant this access for your student organisation. Contact the ICTS helpdesk to ask about it: [email protected]

Equipment for recording and filming

The library provides you with many resources you might need if you want to, for example, shoot a short movie or record a promotional video for your initiative. An overview of the resources can be viewed here: VideUM - VideUM - Maastricht University. The website provides plenty of step-by-step advice, such as information on all the steps involved in creating a video. Other notable resources include the smartphone kit that helps you get a professional video with your smartphone, the possibility to book a UM video team, as well as access to some editing softwares.

UM also has a student videoteam, which you can hire to create a semi-professional video for your organisation. The prices for this service range between €200 and €1000.
